KUHN GA 6501 and 7501+ semi-mounted, twin-rotor rotary rakes are the answer to increase raking capacity and maintaining high-quality raking. These rakes include all of the main features of a larger, commercial-style rake, while being offered at a very attractive feature/price ratio. With a wide range of adjustable working widths you can easily find the right fit for your operation. The design of the double-curved tine arms, and tine angle provide you with the perfect formation of windrows for future harvest. With a narrow 8’2” transport width, maneuvering through gates or from field to field is a breeze. For excellent field adaptation without damaging crop stubble, these rakes feature 3D suspension. The reinforced rear-wheel chassis, on the GA 7501+, features tie-rod steering for better maneuverability and agility when raking in small and irregularly shaped fields.

Proven and Durable Components for Superior Raking

GA_SingleReductionGearbox.png

Fully Enclosed Gear Case

The fully enclosed single-stage gearbox is grease filled and sealed to be maintenance free ensuring a long life. For additional durability, the tine arm holders are fixed on both the upper and lower gearcase covers. The gearbox houses a cam track with a profile optimized for fast lifting action that creates a well-formed windrow while maintaining high clearance over the windrow.

Double-Curved Tine Arms

Double-curved tine arms are designed to form fluffy and straight windrows for superior raking quality at high speeds. Fluffy windrows allow more air movement through the crop promoting fast and uniform drying!

KUHN rotary rakes achieve this by following two basic principles for ideal windrow formation. First, the tine arms maintain a positive forward position right up to the point where the forage is delivered to the windrow ensuring gentle crop handling and minimal ash incorporation. Second, a steep cam track allows the tines to be raised very quickly to provide additional clearance over the windrow.

Easy, Trouble-Free Adjustments

Adjustable Working Width

GA 6501: In many crops, the density makes it necessary to adjust the windrow width. You can quickly adjust the working width and windrow width with a pin. The working width on the GA 6501 can be adjusted from 17’9” to 21’, and the windrow width from 3’3” to 6’7”.

Hydraulic Working Width Adjustment – GA 7501+

Easily adjust the working width hydraulically from the seat of the tractor. The hydraulic adjustment is standard on the GA 7501+. The working width can be adjusted from 22’5” to 24’5”. The windrow width from 3’7” to 6’3”.

Adjustable Tine Height

Tine height adjustment, by a simple crank handle on each rotor, engages the tines in the stubble to get clean movement of crop to the windrow without digging in the soil.

Narrow Road Transport

These rakes fold up to a narrow 8’2” for easy transport on narrow roads. The tie rod controlled steering of the rear wheels provides even greater maneuverability. (Tie rod controlled steering standard on GA 7501 +, optional on GA 6501)

Maneuverability and Stability on Uneven Ground

Pivoting Headstock

Increases maneuverability and stability on uneven ground. It also provides added comfort during transport, increasing your safety and peace of mind.

3D Suspension

For raking when every leaf counts, rotors closely follow the ground over undulating terrain. The tines collect the crop with the greatest precision: a particular benefit when raking rolling ground.

Tandem Axle

A tandem axle for rotor guidance is ideal for raking difficult terrain (deep pivot tracks, uneven ground after grazing, etc.) and where higher raking speeds are desired. (GA 7501+ only)
